I like these boots but they are gard to get on and offI love these boots, I bought them for my commute in the city with the harsh winters. I loved the waterproof feature for slush as well as the more intense tread for ice on sidewalks while looking stylish at the same time. They also worked very well for hiking in rough terrain, great ankle support and grip!First, I love how these boots fit on my feet. I like that they’re water proof and durable. They look good in jeans, and with casual wear. Once they are beat, I use them for exterior work and I think that’s where they perform the best. This is my second pair. I will say this pair that I ordered looks used, but it’s not too bad, just a scuffs I’d probably end up doing anyways. Don’t leave them in the sun after getting wet. My last pair ruined that way on the toe area.I've been wearing these for about a month now. They are comfortable, light weight and good looking boots that I wear every day. As a production manager at an aviation company I'm walking a lot on concrete. My feet still feel good at the end of the day. The boots look good - I wear them everywhere. Only two minor complaints...they don't have much arch support, so I replaced the insoles with new ones. And I thought from the pics the boots would come black. When I opened them the toes are black and semi-shiny, while the rest of the boot is more of a dark gray (maybe for a worn look?) I rubbed them down with mink oil and they look consistent all over now. Like I said, minor complaints. These are hands down my favorite boots.Just received the boots and they seem okay overall out of the box, but will have to test them over time and in different weather elements to know for sure.I'm happy with the style because they aren't too bulky (as some other waterproof boots are), but disappointed that the color is off from the pictures.. the "Major/Buffalo" is more of a gray color than a brown. I even talked to a Sorel rep before purchasing and they said it's brown. If I knew, I might have tried for the "Bruno" color which looks more like a stained brown, but would be nice if Sorel just used normal color names since pictures aren't accurate and their reps don't know either. The shoe is comfortable but will still need to be broken in, and the bottom rubber sole might have been better with a different pattern for stronger grip. The size also runs 0.5 big as most people have noted, so the 10.5 fits me when I usually wear an 11 (a Sorel rep will also tell you they are true to size...)Even though I plan to wear this boots almost daily, I'm not sure they are worth $180... if they hold up 6 years like my last $50 boots I'll be satisfied, but anything short of that would be a big disappointment. The boots are snug in the front end and middle foot. However, they are narrow on the heel area that caused a blister on my right ankle. It may be just my injured foot and not the boot itself though. The quality is very high and the color is just as described in the item description. They appear to be original Sorel brand, too. The laces are of great quality, too. If could have bought a wide size then the boots would feet more comfortably but Amazon does not offer such choice.Love these boots. Soft leather that doesn’t take long to break in. Not too heavy. Decent traction but it is not very aggressive. I purchased a second pair in the major buffalo because the pictures made it look like a greyish brown that might go well with everything. The actual product was very grey. Perhaps with wear it would darken and turn more of a softer brown type color but it looked too similar to some of my other boots so I sent them back. 5 stars for the boot itself. Dropped a star just for the color difference. This was a mid-winter purchase to account for a lot of wet, cold feet as I made my way to work in snow/sleet/rain.These boots can take a step in a fairly deep puddle and water slicks right off. Kept me warm enough and bone dry.I love the look, as they are able to pass in even a moderately casual office setting, so no need to change to oxfords or anything once at work. Also, they don't retain heat, so you don't get sweaty feet when inside. Very happy with this purchase. The only concern would be how wide the boot is, the toe-to-heel fit is just right, but given the width, my feet move around a bit... but I have some fairly narrow feetlooks exactly as on pictures!. Top notch quality, feels amazing. I ordered them 1/2 size smaller than I normally do as I noticed multiple buyers said this model was "bigger in size". with half a size smaller they fit meperfectly with normal socks, bit wearing thick Winter socks is not gonna happen (unless I take our soles). please note they are quite slim in width, so if you have had problems earlier with shoe/boots feeling too tight in width, then you most likely will feel the same with these boots. I see these boots as autumn, winter, early spring boots. conclusion?: If you want to use them as real winter boots, with thick socks, then stick to your normal size (but they might feel too big wearing normal socks). If you are looking to wear them with normal socks and use them for a broader season, then you might wanna go down half a size than what you normally use.I cannot praise these shoes highly enough. They are very comfortable and extremely hard-wearing.These are the second pair I have had and they have stayed waterproof all their life. I'm a handyman and they get a rough life as I use them at work and in my personal life too.My phone step-counter told me I had completed 5,000,000 steps the other day. Most of those were made in these shoes!Product has fallen very short of expectations. Shoe is soft and does not feel or look quality. The soles are wearing away rapidly. More overpriced crap.Update. Soles now peeling away.Never needed any breaking in. I find myself putting these on when other shoes would do the job. For long walks these are fantastic.I'm on my second pair of these fantastic boots.Waterproof fit like a pair of comfy slippers .Best boots I've owned absolutely love them
