[UPDATE] I recently took these as my primary shoes for a 2 week trip in scandinavia (Norway, Stockholm and Copenhagen). It was super rainy and cold in all 3 cities and this was the perfect shoe. My feet stayed warm and I didn't even have to wear thicker socks or anything like that. I also wore these as hiking shoes as we walked up to Preikestolen where it had just snowed, so there was some left over ice. During the hike it was raining and help the shoes held up. I was able to trek through some of the deeper puddles without worrying about water getting in my shoes and having wet socks for the 5 hour hike.Best shoes out there, and would recommend them not just for the snow! When these shoes finally give out, I'll probably by another pairLove these boots. Very comfortable after walking and exploring a city the whole day. Best thing was walking through the snow and not having to worry about wet socks!only drawback is after 2 and a half months the laces are starting to fray. Not that big of a concern as laces are pretty easy to replace.Overall a great snow boot.SO. AMAZING. I have a slightly wide foot (huge pain) and this shoe fit excellently. I almost universally wear a 7.5 wide but in my beloved Merrell's I can wear a straight up 7.5. I got an 8 in these because I like to wear wool socks in the winter because my feet get COLD. It's late October and we haven't had super cold weather yet so I haven't even had to wear wool socks with these yet and my feet have been toasty warm. (I did tried them on with wool socks and they fit great) They are soft and flexible yet sturdy. They feel like high quality, long lasting shoes. They don't hit me in a wrong spot or rub at all. No break in time was required, comfort from first wear. I have high arches and they are supremely comfortable in that regard. I also got a pair of the Ashland chukkas (7.5) and love them. I tried the Around Town chukka and did NOT love them.Very cute, casual, sneaker like boots. They may be water proof but there is definitely no insulation. They are not what I expected - a sturdier, lined boots. They are light weight and flexible with thin soles. They look great though, if you can get then on! My issue - i am usually a 9.5 in Merrells, but I got these in a 9.5 and could hardly get them onto my foot. The ankle piece was rubbing hard on my heel and the foot opening is pretty tight. Definitely too small, so I am hoping the 10 will work. I would not call it a winter boot in any way, save for a warmer day when you won't be walking through snow. They look a bit more substantial in the picture and therefore were not quite what I was expecting, but I like them a lot and if the 10 fit, I will keep.** Got the 10s. Still can hardly get my foot in and the heel is super tight! I don't have huge feet although they are wide. Seems like I'm the only one having this problem?Overall, these are better suited to those with narrow feet.I love these boots! I wear them almost daily. Calling them snow boots is a stretch, but I live in the northern Midwest. They support my feet while walking and standing at work and on my 20 minute walking commute. The footbed is fairly firm, although I've encountered that in other Merrell boots I own. My biggest complaint is even after multiple leather protection spray coatings and care to not wear them on very wet days, the laces on one of the boot is almost completely worn out after only about a month of wear. I don't tie them very tightly and noticed it wearing out after only a couple weeks. Hoping to purchase a replacement set from Merrell so they match. Would definitely recommend.I love Merrell shoes, but with my narrow feet and foot problems they don't always fit right. And my feet always seem to be cold in the winter, even though I live in the South. When these boots went on sale over the holidays, I snatched up a pair. They have become my go-to shoes. They look amazing with straight-leg jeans. I can't wear my thick, warm winter socks with them, but they are still plenty warm with mid-weight or Darn Tough wool socks. Sometimes with Merrells I have to buy a half-size up but these fit my size 7 feet perfectly. They are super comfortable.I'm going to buy a pair in a different color if they go on sale again. Highly recommended!I love these ankle boots....cept for the price of course! I wore them today right out of the hox for my 2 mile walk and no rubbing to cause sores which I have had issues with some others Ive tried. Very lightweight and bendable, decent arch support, could be maybe a little better with that but ok. It was single digits today in nys with windchill on the hill and my toes were not completely warm but I think a heavier weight sock will help with that. I was a little disappointed as the description says it has a side zip for easy on off but these do not. Still, easy enough to get on and off. Am a big merrell fan.So these are definitely cuter in a size six (likely the display picture) than a size ten (what I wear), but I still LOVE them. Wore them all day right out of the box with no issues. I will need inserts for one boot eventually, as I have no arch in that foot, but even with my arch issues, they're still very comfortable. Feel like they support your feet well and quite warm for how thin they are. I was looking for a boot I could wear in and out of the office and these are just right! These boots are very comfortable. I am a size 7.5 but bought a size 8, because I thought my regular size would be too snug. I think I could of gotten away with a 7.5 even with thicker socks. I will keep them though because it's not that big of a difference. They were comfortable from tge moment I put them on.I highly recommend them..I also love the grip the shoe has underneath. I feel comfortable walking over wet leaves. I use these boots to walk around the city I live in. It is how I get aroundOne of my favorite pair of shoes! Very confortable and versatile.Excellent
